The death of a spouse, friend, or relative is one of life’s most stressful events. Add to it the numerous decisions that need to be made within a short timeframe, and many people find themselves feeling downright overwhelmed.
Every day here at family-owned Wright & Ford Funeral Home & Cremation Services, we meet with families who are in a state of shock as they talk through details regarding funerals, cremation, and burial. Owner D.J. Wright and the rest of our caring staff have decades of experience planning farewells that truly tell the story of a life. Our mission? To provide families of Flemington and Hunterdon County with comprehensive, dignified, compassionate funeral services of the highest quality – at a price they can afford.
This is why you’ll discover a wide range of options at Wright & Ford. We don’t function like corporate-owned funeral homes that find it more profitable to make every funeral the same. Instead, we believe every service should be affordable and meaningful, honoring the person who died and bringing comfort to friends and family members. We also make certain you are only charged for the services we provide. We have even eliminated the “basic service fee” most funeral homes charge that starts at upwards of $2,000. D.J.’s “Golden Rule Service” promotes complete transparency and a common-sense approach when it comes to costs of a funeral and associated services.
The Wright team believes in tradition but offer much more than a “traditional” funeral. The cost depends on selections before, during, and after the service. This includes:
Services selected: A fitting tribute has many elements, including the type of funeral, and personal details like flower arrangements, live music, and a butterfly, balloon, or dove release.
- Casket or urn: The choice of a final resting place is deeply personal. Our beautiful selection rooms allow you to view your options for caskets and vaults for burial and mausoleum entombment, as well as products specifically designed for cremation. We can help you personalize your final resting place with casket customization, monuments, headstones, and more. We invite you to view our catalog for environmentally friendly products such as caskets, urns, and shrouds.
- Transportation: We are happy to assist in providing transportation. From limousines to a motorcycle hearse or horse-drawn carriage, we can accommodate the needs and wants of your family and guests.
As you think through these options, we encourage you to review our General Price List and check out our online pricing tool and online form. Don’t forget that our caring team of professionals is always available to answer questions and talk through your decisions. We understand you have a choice when it comes to selecting a funeral home. When you trust us with the planning and personalization of your loved one’s funeral service, we take that responsibility very seriously. We will treat you as if you were a member of our own family, because that’s how we view you. Don’t hesitate calling or stopping by to see us in Flemington anytime.

I loved it when you said that the death of a spouse, friend, or relative is one of life’s most stressful events. My parents are already old. The fact that they will no longer stay long is already heartily accepted. And when the moment comes I will make sure we will do all that we can to provide a beautiful and respectful ceremony. This article gives me all the information I need in looking for the best funeral services in town.

You make a great point about checking the pricing of corporate-owned homes. I need to get a new set of flowers for my cousin’s funeral. She always liked tulips. https://www.meaningful-flowers.com/funeral-flower-arrangements
