Anastasia Yurcik, age 98, formerly of Delaware Township died Sunday, June 5, 2005, at Foothill Acres Nursing Home in Neshanic. She was born on July 15, 1906 in Checkoslovakia and immigrated to the United States in 1928, living in New York City and Delaware Township, NJ before entering the care center in 1996. Anastasia was a homemaker and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Victories Church, Baptistown, NJ. She was pre-deceased by her first husband Steven Spacek in 1970 and her second husband Paul J. Yurcik in 1978. Her son Paul S. Spacek died in 2002. She is survived by her grandson, Paul Spacek, Jr. of Branchburg, NJ; four step-children, John Yurcik of Elizabeth, NJ, Catherine Saverese of New York City, NY, Joseph Yurcik of New York City, NY and William R. Yurcik of Reisterstown, MD; a daughter-in-law Vilma Spacek of Branchburg, NJ and 19 step-grandchildren. The funeral will begin on Thursday, June 9, 2005 at 8:45 AM from the Robert L. Ford Funeral Home, Flemington to celebrate the Funeral Liturgy at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Victories Church, Baptistown, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Magdalen’s Cemetery, Flemington. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 PM.
