Edna (Baker) Morton, age 108, of Manahawkin, NJ, died Wednesday, May 10, 2006, at the Manahawkin Convalescent Center in Manahawkin. She was born on August 20, 1897, in Flemington, NJ the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Hopock) Baker and lived in Flemington until moving to Manahawkin in 1994. Mrs. Morton was a homemaker and was a member of the Flemington Baptist Church. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 159, Flemington, NJ. Her husband Raymond Morton died in 1964 and a son Edgar Morton also pre-deceased her. She is survived by her son, Wilbur Morton of Barnegat, NJ; a niece, Emily Young of Toms River, NJ; Five grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2006 at 11:00 AM in the Robert L. Ford Funeral Home, #38 Highway 31, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Flemington.
