Frances Anne Fortugno, 82, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Sunday, March 14, 2004 at the Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Township, NJ. She was born on February 23, 1922 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Sarah (Arancio) Corso and lived in Brooklyn most of her life before moving to Annandale, NJ in 1995. Until her retirement in 1991 she was a Supervisor employed by Chase Manhattan Bank, New York, NY. With her relocation to Annandale, Frances worked part time as a volunteer at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township. Her husband August P. Fortugno died in 1975. She is survived by two daughters, Celeste Tinger of Quakertown, PA, and Rosanne Wynn of Flemington, NJ; three sons, Dominick J. Fortugno of Annandale, NJ, Joseph Fortugno of Milford, NJ, and Stephen Fortugno of Brooklyn, NY; a sister, Mary Rubino of Miami, FL; thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Edmund’s Church, Brooklyn, NY. Interment will follow in Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
