Frank Fountain, 85, died on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at Foothill Acres Care Center, Hillsborough, NJ. He was born on May 3, 1925, in Pulaski, Virginia, the son of Marion David Fountain and Mabel (Livesay) Fountain, and lived in South Miami, Florida; Raritan Township, NJ; and Bethlehem Township, NJ, before moving to Hillsborough. He served in the U.S. Army as a military policeman during the Korean War. Until his retirement, he owned and operated Fountain s Fuel Oil Service, Flemington, NJ. He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Eleanor M. Fountain, in 2003, and a son, David K. Fountain, in 2004. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Dumpel and her husband, Pieter, of Mercerville, NJ, and his son, William J. Fountain and his wife, Maria of Dunellen, NJ; four grandchildren, David, Dan, and Dianna Dumpel and Erin Fountain; and three great-grandchildren, Danyelle, Devyn, and Dylan Dumpel. Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 4, 2011, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Robert L. Ford Funeral Home, 38 Hwy. 31, Flemington, NJ, with the funeral service officiated by Rev. Jan Koczera. Interment will be private.
