Joseph Mannino, age 77 years, of Alexandria Township, NJ, died on Sunday, February 1, 2015 in Valley View Care Center.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, September 3, 1937, he was the son of the late Frank and Anna “Nina” Mannino. He had resided at Valley View since 2006, having formerly lived in Far Rockaway, NY and Brentwood, NY.
Joseph was formerly a shipping clerk with Favorite Footwear, Inc., Astoria, NY. A musician who loved all types of music, he loved to sing as well as play the clarinet. He was a man who had a Jeopardy type intelligence and was always winning any trivia game he played.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony F. Mannino in 2009.
Surviving are his devoted sister, Rosary L. Sollena of Raritan Township, NJ; a niece and four nephews; several great nieces and great nephews; and many loving extended family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Magdalen Cemetery, 94 North Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There are no calling hours.
