Linda Mannino, age 72 years, of Cherry Hill, NJ, died on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Jefferson Hospital, Washington Township, NJ.
Born on February 21, 1949 in Trenton, NJ, daughter of the late John and Josephine Orashen Melfy, Linda was raised in Flemington, NJ, moving to Pittstown, NJ, after marrying her former late husband, Fred Mannino. The pair would return to Flemington to raise their family with Linda moving to South Jersey in 2019 to be close to her daughter and grandchildren. She also spent several years in Arizona, moving there to be near her cherished brothers, Robert and John; Linda and her siblings always had a strong bond which served as a model for others.
Graduating from Hunterdon Central Regional High School, Linda will be forever remembered for the restaurant she and Fred ran for many years, but also for her charismatic personality who always spoke her mind.
A people person, Linda made friends easily and was the life of any party. Her dance moves were legendary, albeit sometimes embarrassing to her children who did not appreciate her skill until they were older. Being the mom of Gina, Fred, and Sal was the center of Linda’s world, until of course they made her the cherished grandmother of Katlyn, Aiden, and Avery. Linda’s children fondly recall their mom always being there to listen and give great advice on literally any subject. She never judged, though she had her strong opinions, and always supported them in their endeavors.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Fred John Mannino in 2010; and by a brother, John Frank Melfy in 2018.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Travis Fetterolf; her son, Salvatore Mannino; her grandchildren, Katlyn, Aiden and Avery Fetterolf; her brother and sister-in-law, Robert John Melfy and Jane Melfy; a sister-in-law, Kathy Melfy; several nieces, nephews, and extended family; and many dear friends.
