Max Edward Malchow, 85, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Sunday, May 25, 2003 at his home. He was born on February 4, 1918 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, the son of the late Max and Erlena Shimp Malchow and came to US in 1952 and became a naturalized US citizen in 1958. Mr. Malchow lived in Collingswood, NJ and Pennsauken, NJ before moving to Raritan Township in 1964. Until his retirement in 1985 he was an engineering leader and manager employed by R.C.A. Corporation, Somerville, NJ and holds over 20 patents in electronic circuit design. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Aneila (Nellie) Malchow; a daughter, Maxine E. Malchow Scott of Schaumburg, IL; a son, Douglas S. Malchow and his wife Joan of Lawrenceville, NJ; two sisters, June Malchow Spackmann, and Lilla May Malchow Kaulback both of Calgary, AB; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will held on Saturday, May 31, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. in the Robert L. Ford Funeral Home, #38 Highway 31, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
