Muriel Thelma Lewis, of Union Township, Hunterdon County, NJ, died suddenly on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at her home.
Born on April 2, 1933, daughter of Judson Wharton and Christina Adams Wharton, in Georgetown, Guyana, Muriel came to the US and lived in Union Township, NJ.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Desmond Lewis and her daughter, Norma Lewis.
Surviving are her children, Leon Lewis, Jean Lewis, Lorraine Wharton, Joan Trotz, Ann Elvis, Cherill Alofoje, Paula Lewis, and Joylyn DeFreitas; her grandchildren, Leondre Lewis, Rhonda Softley, Seon Lewis, Uhri Fraizer, Nakala Martin, Angela Lewis, Tracy Durant, Germaine Glen, Dwight Glen, Daine Trotz, Dana Trotz, Liane Alexander, Karen Smith, Crystal Matthews, Sabitu Alofoje, Roschel Williams, Domoire DeFreitas, Deondre DeFreitas;and twenty great grandchildren.
A virtual prayer service will take place on Thursday, April 30, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ. NO persons other than the immediate family may physically attend. Those who wish may attend virtually by following this link:
