Pat Sharkey, 84, passed away peacefully at her home on March 25, 2025, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
A fiercely independent woman, Pat lived life on her own terms, never hesitating to speak her mind. She had a heart of gold, always there for those she loved, and never short on a comment—whether good or bad, you always knew where she stood.
Pat had a deep love for animals, especially her beloved dog, Apollo, who was always by her side. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—reading James Patterson novels on the deck while watching the birds, especially her favorite bluebirds. She loved the taste of fresh cherry tomatoes straight from the garden and always had fresh-cut flowers in her home. No matter the season, she could always be found working on a 1,000-piece puzzle, her patience and determination shining through with every piece.
A true lover of chocolate, Pat especially enjoyed chocolate ice cream soda floats and could always be counted on to have a Diet Coke nearby.
Above all, Pat adored her family, and nothing brought her more happiness than celebrating special moments with them. She is survived by her loving brother, Bernard Clements, and his wife, Beverly, of East Walpole, MA, along with several nieces and nephews. She was also deeply cherished by her extended family, Steven and Tina Tsopelas of Flemington, NJ, and her beloved boys, Nicholas and Franco Tsopelas.
Pat’s dear friend Marie Pagano (Greg) and the Pagano family—Michael Pagano, Vanessa, Nichole, and Anna; Mary and Mark Voorhees with Enzo, Nina, and Bazil; and Anthony and Samantha Pagano with Vincent, Giovanni, and Isabella—held a special place in her heart. She also shared a lifelong friendship with her cherished friend of many years, Barbara Menegozzi.
Pat will also be lovingly remembered by her many friends and the cherished members of her bereavement support group, who brought her unwavering support throughout the years.
She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her strength, honesty, and the love she gave so freely.
A Mass of Christian Burial at St. Magdalen Church, followed by inurnment at Prospect Hill Cemetery, will be announced under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
