Phyllis Silvestri-Innella, 80, of Flemington, NJ, died on Monday, January 10, 2005 at the Bridgeway Care Center in Bridgewater, NJ. She was born on May 16, 1924 in Garfield, NJ, the daughter of the late Thomas and Frances (Russell) Telson and lived in Garfield and Lodi before moving to Flemington in 2001. Until her retirement in 1987 she was a seamstress and sample maker employed by Liz Claiborne, Secaucus, NJ. She was a member and past president of the VFW Aux. #2867, Garfield, NJ, a member and past president of the Hasbrook Heights B.P.O.E Aux #1962, the founder and past president of the Deborah Hospital Garfield Chapter and was active in the Garfield Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps. She was predeceased by her first husband Mario Silvestri in 1983 and her second husband, Lewis Innella in 2001. Her son Eugene Silvestri died in 1993. She is survived by her son, Louis Silvestri and daughterinlaw Joan of Flemington, NJ; a sister, Tina Careri of Ft. Lee, NJ; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 12 at 6:00 p.m. in the Robert L. Ford Funeral Home, #38 Highway 31, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until time of service.
